A Day Fishing Cairns… Full or Half day Cairns Fishing Charter

Reviews on TripAdvisor rate Paradise Sportfishing Adventures as one of the best Fishing Charter Cairns operators in Far North Queensland, Australia (source:- TripAdvisor 2016).

What are our fishing charters Cairns prices? Only $95 for a 1/2 day experience makes us the best value. Private fishing charters Cairns prices, where you book the entire boat are also very reasonable. We are only a 5 minute walk from the City centre and most hotels in Cairns. Our boat is moored very near the Shangri la Hotel at the Pier.

A charter with Paradise Sportfishing Adventures starts by catching live bait with a cast net along the edge of a tributary of Trinity Inlet Estuary (Estuary fishing is similar to river fishing in some countries). Live herrings and mullet are the best bait for catching predator species, mullet are great for Barramindi fishing Cairns inlet. If the tide is low enough you may see a crocodile basking in the sun along the banks of the Estuary.

Unlike deep sea and reef fishing at the Great Barrier Reef off Cairns, a day fishing Cairns Trinity Inlet is so close to the city. This means you will be baiting up very soon after boarding the vessel and will enjoy longer fishing times.

    Late August Fishing Report

The Seasons Are Changing! We are almost into September and sure enough the temperature in Cairns is on the rise. It’s been most noticeable in the mornings,no longer any dew on the seats in the boat! Sure enough the last few charters have produced some solid hook ups. A 60cm Fingermark and an 80 cm Black Jew have been the standout catches. Queenfish and some mid size GT’s have also been caught. The black moon and the incoming morning tides are just a few days away. Some large live baits fished on the pressure points close to the mangroves should produce some early Barras! Hope to fish with you soon. JOHN H Paradise Sportfishing Cairns...

    Winter Fishing report

Winter conditions are upon us here in Tropical North Queensland. August is generally the coldest month. Along with the low water temp, some unseasonal rain has also come our way! Quite a few mornings,we have had the rain coats on even! The good news is that the live bait has been plentiful and with a few throws of the cast net the live tanks are full. The toughest fish to hook this time of year is the elusive Barramundi. However, the other hard fighters and good table fish ,the Queenfish,Giant Trevelly,Fingermark,Mangrove Jack and Threadfin Salmon have been biting. I have had to go to smaller hooks and lighter leaders as the predators are a little more weary this time of year. Rather then the large live baits that work well in the summer, the smaller herring and the occasional fillet bait have […]...
